Chelsea fans label Callum Hudson-Odoi as the next Eden Hazard after seeing this video
Hudson-Odoi has been impressive for Chelsea during their pre-season campaign after featuring in their warm-up games against Perth Glory, Inter Milan and Arsenal.
The 17-year-old was hailed by fans after his impressive shift against Arsenal in the International Champions Cup meeting in Dublin earlier this month.
While Chelsea suffered a defeat on penalties, the young forward often out paced Hector Bellerin as he ran rings around the defender.
And Hudson-Odoi has been showing off his slick skills once again, this time during Chelsea’s team photoshoot.
Hudson-Odoi couldn’t resist doing some tricks and flicks as he waited to have his picture snapped in the new Chelsea away kit.
Fans were quick to laud Hudson-Odoi’s impressive skills after watching a video posted on Chelsea’s Twitter account.
“Here is our super boy. He will conquer the world soon,” one fan commented.
Another said: “This dude is hot. I hope he get his Chances this season.”
And some fans believe the youngster can be the next Hazard.
“Our future Hazard in making,” one fan wrote.
Another said: “The heir to Eden Hazard.”
Meanwhile, Stamford Bridge defender Cesar Azpilicueta has hailed Hudson-Odoi’s character after working his way up through the academy.
“Callum is coming from academy level. He played with us a few times last season, he has been with us this pre-season and he is improving and that is really important,” Azpilicueta said.
“I know that he still has room to improve. He is 17, he can go really far and I’m sure that, if he keeps his head, with the way he is working and performing he will be very good.
“Every time he went one versus one against the defender he was creating problems. In transition he was very good, and with the defensive work we have seen from him, it is not only in one phase, globally he is playing well and that is important for the team.”
“He has shown great quality and great character. Now it is up to him to keep that level. That is something that he has in his hands. We will try to help him.”
