Google Maps Street View: Girl left red-faced by embarrassing skateboard fail
Google Maps Street View has snapped a girl in the middle of a highly embarrassing fall.
An image snapped by the online mapping service shows the girl as she takes a spectacular tumble.
Impressively, the Google camera has perfectly timed the snap, freezing her in time as she plunges towards the tarmac.
A skateboard can be seen behind her, leading the viewer to presume the toy has lead to the fall.
The tumble looks to be particularly nasty as the girl is only wearing a T-shirt and shorts and her bare knee is just inches away from slamming into the ground.
Her arm is also held out to protect herself while her left foot is thrown out to one side.
The flip-flop on her right foot seems to be sliding off – perhaps they were not the best choice of footwear for skateboarding.
It is not known whether the girl was injured in the fall, although she is fairly close to the ground in the image so it is hoped no bad injury was sustained.
She may think twice about wearing flips flops for skateboarding in the future.
The girl is not alone in being snapped by Google Maps mid-embarrassing fall.
A cyclist was captured falling off his bike as four builders looked on.
It seems the cyclist was peddling along the pavement when the incident occurred.
It’s unclear what caused him to fall off but the Google image shows him nosediving off the edge of the pavement into the road.
His hands are ready outstretched in the still to prevent himself from causing too much bodily harm.
Directly opposite the cyclist are four workmen who are staring straight at the unfortunate man.
Hilariously they couldn’t look more like they’d posed for the photograph if they’d tried.
One holds a shovel on the ground, another leans on the handle of his tool, a third has a wheelbarrow while the fourth just stands and stares.
It almost looks as though they are unwilling to help him and just want to watch, which adds to the comedy of the scene.
In reality no doubt the accident happened too quickly for the workmen to do anything about it.
It’s hoped the cyclist wasn’t too injured in the fall, but it is not known what became of him afterwards.
