Strictly Come Dancing 2018 line-up: Star reveals surprising reason why she WON’T take part
But The Apprentice star Elizabeth McKenna won’t be in the line-up, and there’s a compelling reason as to why she feels she’d be at a disadvantage.
The iconic contestant came fourth in The Apprentice but she hasn’t completely ruled out other reality TV.
Although Elizabeth said she would “love” to take part on the BBC dance contest, she’s said there could be one thing holding her back.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she spilled: “I’d love to do Strictly, I’d be clomping around.
“I’d have to wear heels. And then who would actually be tall enough to actually partner me? Who’d be strong enough to partner me?
“Could you imagine me doing the American Smooth? It would be the American Squish.
“I’m 6ft 2 inches in heels so someone, can you imagine, the man would have to wear lifts to lift me.
“They’d have to get a hoist to kind of lower me and I’d come down flapping, a bit like Ann Widdecombe did on the American Smooth.”
Meanwhile, all the contestants for the competition have already signed on the dotted line.
Host Tess Daly posted a huge teaser for fans on her Instagram page earlier this week.
The snap showed Tess, 49, alongside co-presenter Claudia Winkleman as the pair hugged and smiled at the camera.
The caption read: “Got to snuggle up to this one today @amiclaudiawinkleman So excited for our first day back to work @bbstrictly PLUS we found out the new celeb cast for STRICTLY 2018! Can’t wait to share it with you…! #strictly.”
Although Tess didn’t give any more away, fans won’t have to wait long before the official line-up is released.
The identities of the famous faces taking part will start to be released on Monday.
It is expected that the show will release one name a day across various different platforms until all 15 stars are revealed.
Plenty of celebs are hotly tipped to be taking part in the programme.
One television star expected to take to the dance floor is BBC newsreader Steph McGovern.
While her BBC Breakfast co-host Dan Walker was a strong bet, according to bookmakers Ladbrokes, Steph, 36, has over taken him.
A spokesperson for the bookmakers told Express.co.uk: “It wouldn’t be Strictly without a BBC presenter taking part, and the money currently suggests that Steph may get the call up over Dan.”
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
