Real Madrid Hazard bid
Real Madrid will up their pursuit of Eden Hazard next week after being told £150m is not enough to sign the Chelsea star.
Hazard is open to leaving Chelsea and is yet to sign the new £300,000-a-week contract offered by the club.
Express Sport understands the Blues want close to £200m for their Belgium superstar.
And Real are lining up a fresh bid that could come close to Chelsea’s valuation.

Chelsea deal close
Chelsea are close to sending Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan to AC Milan.
Bakayoko was left out of the Blues squad for their 3-0 win over Huddersfield today.
And that’s because a move to Milan is getting closer, with the deal now resting on his loan fee and who will pay his wages.
Chelsea want some cash from Milan to loan Bakayoko to them for the season, while Milan are unwilling to cover his entire £100,000-a-week wages.

Done Deal – Juventus
Juventus have sent Stefano Sturaro on loan to Sporting Lisbon.
And the deal may have ramifications on the rest of Juve’s transfer window.
The Turin club are seeking a new midfielder and flirted with a bid for Paul Pogba earlier in the summer.
That will not happen now but their searching continues, with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic linked with a move from Lazio.

Milan done deal
Andre Silva has officially joined Sevilla from AC Milan.
The loan deal sees Portugal international Silva leave for Spain just a year after moving to Milan.
Rumours earlier in the summer linked Silva with a move to Huddersfield but Express Sport understands the Terriers were never in for the striker.
The 22-year-old’s loan fee is set to £4.5m, with an option to buy for £26.8m in 2019.

Real Madrid get Modric boost
Real Madrid are set to keep Luka Modric despite the player wanting to join Inter Milan.
Modric has been angling for a move to Italy after his exploits at the World Cup this summer.
But Real are set to offer the Croatia international a new contract – doubling his wages to £5.8m a season – to keep him happy.
The playmaker could be key for Real this season with Julen Lopetegui freshly installed as their new manager.
Liverpool signing warning
Should Liverpool be concerned about new signing Xherdan Shaqiri?
According to Phil Thompson, the Swiss newcomer at Anfield could end up being the new Mario Balotelli.
“At £13m it is a snip and I hope upon hope that this goes right for the boy. It could be a Balotelli move, then again it could be a Mane move and that is the thing,” Thompson said.
“He’s got to learn and that is the only thing, this high-pressure game that Jurgen demands from everybody. Everybody has to fit in and Shaqiri has to bring that to the table.”

Dembele to PSG
Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele is wanted at PSG.
That is according to Mundo Deportivo, who claim the Arsenal target is on PSG manager Thomas Tuchel’s wish list.
Tuchel managed Dembele at Borussia Dortmund before both men left the German club last summer.
Arsenal were linked with a loan move for Dembele before transfer deadline day but now may miss out on the Frenchman for good.

Fabinho on ‘failed’ Man Utd move
Liverpool new boy Fabinho has denied claims Monaco stopped him from signing for Manchester United.
Fabinho’s arrival caused a stir due to reports Monaco had previously blocked the midfielder joining United, who had held a long-term interest in the player.
But the 24-year-old has moved to dismiss those claims ahead of his Liverpool debut on Sunday.
“Manchester never showed any formal interest, they never made me an offer at all,” Fabinho told Sky Sports.
“Maybe there was some interest or a conversation but it’s not a case of Monaco not letting me go to Manchester United or denying me the move, nothing ever really materialised.”
Phil Thompson says the Man Utd board do not trust Jose Mourinho to bring in the right type of player in the transfer market.
“I think it’s a trust thing,” Thompson said on Sky Sports. “I think the trust between the board, Ed Woodward, Jose.
“Were they seeing their players fitting in? New direction if you want.
“All these teams now are looking to buy younger players with sell-on values. Mourinho’s looking and he wants to win now.”
Transfer news: Paul Pogba still wants to join Barcelona
Arsenal made a late bid for Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele – but the Catalan giants refused to tell the 21-year-old.
Claims on deadline day emerged suggesting the Catalan giants had received a bid from the Premier League side.
This was rubbished by several journalists, with BBC Sport’s David Ornstein claiming Arsenal had chosen against pursuing a deadline day deal despite their interest in the forward.
But RAC1 say Arsenal DID try and lure Dembele to north London as the clock ticked down.
Transfer news: Will Jose Mourinho sell Paul Pogba?
Paul Pogba has posted a cryptic Instagram message following Man Utd’s victory against Leicester.
The France international, who has been linked with Barcelona, said: “‘I’ll always give my best to the fans and my teammates no matter what’s going on. #pogfeelings.”
Reports this week claimed Pogba is keen to quit Old Trafford for the Nou Camp.
However, the 25-year-old has appeared to confirm his future lies at United.

Man Utd discussed Varane move
Manchester United discussed a £100m bid for Raphael Varane late on in the transfer window, but ultimately failed to bring in a new defender for Jose Mourinho.
The Manchester United boss cut a frustrated figure through the window as Ed Woodward failed to land his top targets.
And now it has emerged Varane was also spoken about in the corridors of power at United.
The Times report that United discussed doing a move to the point that Woodward met with Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez in Miami, but he was told Varane would not be leaving.

Hazard happy to stay
Maurizio Sarri is confident Eden Hazard will remain at Chelsea, despite Thibaut Courtois’ best efforts to persuade him to join Real Madrid.
The Belgian has been the subject of major transfer interest this summer.
But Sarri claims he has spoken to Hazard, who is now happy to stay at Stamford Bridge.
“I don’t know. I think there were some personal reasons, so I cannot go on personal reasons,” he said of Courtois’ exit. “[Eden] Hazard is with us.
“It is not a problem, I have spoken with his three or four times. He never said anything about the market. He is happy to stay here.”

Liverpool were the ones who pulled out of the deal for Nabil Fekir this summer, not Lyon.
The Premier League side were firm favourites to land the Lyon star during the transfer window.
However, the Reds decided it was just too much of a gamble considering the financial commitment at stake, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The transfer fee wasn’t the only stumbling block, Fekir’s £100,000-a-week wages were also a concern for Liverpool.
The playmaker suffered a serious knee injury in 2015 and Liverpool feared there was a high risk of him aggravating it once he joined them after the World Cup.

Paul Pogba still reportedly wants to join Barcelona despite the Red Devils being unable to sign a replacement.
Manchester United star Pogba has emerged as a top Barcelona transfer target with the window for La Liga clubs shutting on August 31.
Reports have claimed Pogba wants to join Barcelona to team up with Lionel Messi and former Juventus team-mate Arturo Vidal.
And Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo say that, despite United being unable to sign a replacement, the 25-year-old still wants out.
