ITV This Morning: Eamonn Holmes almost drops Strictly Come Dancing bombshell EARLY

Tensions are rising throughout the This Morning studio today as the next Strictly Come Dancing contestant is due to be announced during the show.

But Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were very eager and excited to talk about the announcement of the contestant – who was apparently “not a million miles away”.

Ruth began by reminiscing about her announcement for last year’s show, which was also live on This Morning.

The pair went on to reveal that today’s announcement is in fact a presenter from This Morning – and they even hinted towards a “silver fox” joining the show.

After discussing the announcement for some time, Eamonn explained the contestant will be revealed “just after midday.”

But he followed this up by adding: “But if you can’t wait until midday then here he is!”

Joking about the premature announcement, Ruth scolded him, shouting: “Stop it!”

Eamonn also joked that Ruth will be making a second appearance on the show.

He joked: “This will be the first year that they will bring someone back for a second time.”

As the pair laughed, they went on to introduce the rest of the show.

On the show was Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, who is due to star in Celebrity Master Chef this year.

And Eamonn was quick to point out that it definitely wasn’t the reality star to join the dance competition, saying: “Okay, so it’s definitely not him.”

Included later in the show is Dr. Ranj Singh’s health segment – but while rumours of his involvement in Strictly are rife, the presenters kept hinting towards his attendance in the show.

As the pair spoke to Dr. Ranj, Eamonn quipped: “I’ve got two left feet and I can’t dance because of my hips. What can I do?”

Dr. Ranj couldn’t help but smile, laugh, and shake his head.

The hint towards Dr. Ranj’s inclusion in the show continued throughout the show.

During the health call-in section, Eamonn danced onto the set while Ruth sang the Strictly theme song.

Once again, Dr. Ranj couldn’t help but smile and keep his mouth shut.

Could Dr. Ranj be the next This Morning star to jump on the dance floor and bust a move?

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
