Fan favourite Brienne of Tarth (played by Gwendoline Christie) isn’t exempt from the guessing games either.
Brienne’s been on quite a journey, but what will happen to her in the bitter end?
In a poll conducted by Express.co.uk, viewers have had their say on what they think her fate will be.
The majority of fans think she’ll stay on her path of being a fearsome fighter, as 30 per cent believe Brienne will become a knight for whoever ends up sitting on the Iron Throne.
Meanwhile, 24 per cent think her future doesn’t look so happy as they have speculated that she’ll end up dying in battle.
On the other hand, others have theorised that love is in store for the statuesque warrior.
Tormund Gianstbane (Kristofer Hivju) hasn’t been shy about his feelings towards her as he openly admitted he wanted to have babies with Brienne.
However, there’s also been a palpable amount of tension between Brienne and Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau).
But it seems like they could both be in the running to win her hand as the two suitors each received 19 per cent of the vote for the likelihood of them ending up by Brienne’s side.
Looking less likely is the possibility of Cersei (Lena Headey) having her killed, with that eventuality receiving five per cent of the votes.
It’s clear Brienne hasn’t got a thirst for power, as only three per cent think she’ll be the one to take the Iron Throne.
Fans may be hoping for a reunion between Brienne and Jaime, and the end of season seven could’ve hinted toward the pair meeting again.
Fed up with his sister, Jaime rode northwards, but will he meet Brienne on the way?
Jaime actor Nikolaj recently opened up about whether the pair could come together once more.
In an interview with Huffington Post, Nikolaj was questioned about what his character’s motivations were for heading north.
“Well, he is heading north. I don’t think you can assume that he’s going to make it up there, but who knows,” Nikolaj spilled.
“For sure, we see him head north. He might be eaten by dragons, you never know. Or he might just stumble, things happen.
“Or he might find the love of his life and suddenly he’s like, ‘God, this is it. No more.'”
But could that mean the love of his life is Brienne?
In regard to Brienne, Nikolaj continued: ”Ohhh, well, who knows? I don’t, well, I know how it ends but … no, I can’t comment on that.”
Game of Thrones season eight airs next year on HBO and Sky Atlantic. Seasons 1-7 are available to stream on NOWTV.
