With the WWE 2K19 release date just a few weeks away, 2K Sports has made the most shocking reveal yet.
Express Online recently chatted to WWE 2K19 executive producer Mark Little, who discussed the game’s new and improved MyCareer Mode.
According to Little, the narrative-driven career mode is shaping up to be the most fun yet, especially with the addition of voice acting from WWE superstars.
“We have an all-new MyCareer Mode this year,” Little explains. “So for the first time in WWE 2K franchise history we have actual voiceover in MyCareer Mode.
“We have 26 superstars from WWE that have recorded their own voice to go along with the story.”
This includes the likes of Triple H, Braun Strowman, and Bray Wyatt, not to mention NXT trainer Matt Bloom.
“It’s a very narrative-based story this year,” Little continues. “You do get to make decisions and choices along the way that do matter.
“We put you through a very wild ride, from you starting out as an indie wrestler, to trying to break into the WWE and becoming a big WWE superstar.”
While this all sounds like pretty standard stuff, Little says there are some shocking plot twists in store for players.
In fact, you won’t believe where your MyCareer journey could end up taking you.
“I think one of the things we did was take a little bit of fun with this year’s MyCareer Mode and leveraged the fact that we’re a game and we can do lots of things you can’t as easily do in real life,” Little concludes.
“You might actually end up in the multiverse… I’m just going to through that out there.”
WWE 2K19 is out on October 9, 2018 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Those who pre-order the Wooooo! Edition will receive the game 4 days early.
