Liverpool head into their biggest game of the season so far against Manchester City this Sunday afternoon.

The Reds remain unbeaten in the Premier League – with six wins out of seven – despite their disappointing 1-0 loss against Napoli in the Champions League this week.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are level with City at the top of the table, but the German boss will know his team needs to make the most of both games against the reigning champions in the league.

Liverpool suffered an injury blow during the midweek Champions League clash after Naby Keita left the field and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The former RB Leipzig superstar suffered a back injury in the first half, but has since been checked out and permitted to travel back to the UK.

Despite his ordeal, Keita is reportedly in good condition and in contention to face City on Sunday.

However, Jordan Henderson will probably step in to fill the void after doing so in Naples.

The England midfielder has been involved in a season-long battle with Keita for a spot in the first team and is likely to feature this weekend.

Virgil van Dijk has fully recovered from a rib injury and will start in the heart of the defence alongside Joe Gomez, flanked by Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Adam Lallana remains sidelined with a groin injury, while forgotten man Divock Origi has returned from his long-term ankle problem.

The Belgian striker will be keen to get his career back on track but will receive minimal opportunities to impress given the form of Daniel Sturridge in the backup striker role.

Mohamed Salah’s form won’t have any bearing on Klopp’s selection this weekend with the Egyptian set to start as usual with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in the front three.

Predicted Liverpool team vs Manchester City

(4-3-3) Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Gomez, Robertson; Milner, Wijnaldum, Henderson; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
