Between Tuesday, October 2, and Wednesday, October 3, the Moon is 90 degrees away from the Sun in Libra.
In astrology, when two heavenly bodies like this face each other at a straight angle, it is known as a ”square”.
Astrological squares typically result in some form of emotional conflict between the bodies in question.
Astrologer Debra Silverman, of Astrology Answers, said the Sun in Libra is a “super sociable” sign focused on relationships and getting along with people.
The Moon in Cancer, on the other hand, is the radical opposite of the Sun today – it is all about staying at home.
The astrologer said: “This conflict built into someone can create a very confused personality.
“Now, it’s not to say all squares are bad. In fact, in esoteric law, the more tension in your chart, the more motivation to get comfortable.
“So discomfort takes a straight change but when you’re dealing with a couple of days – Tuesday and Wednesday – where you’re feeling a little tense and you’re feeling it if you’re Aries, Libra, Capricorn or Cancer, you’re going to say when there’s tension: ‘What do you do? You assert yourself’.”
According to the astrologer, Cardinal Signs which are signs from the First, Fourth, Seventh and Tenth House, will take action if upset.
Fixed Signs, on the other hand, become stubborn when they get upset. These are people under the signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.
Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces, members of the so-called Mutable Signs, are more likely to change their minds when upset, under the current circumstances.
Ms Silverman explained: “This is cardinal energy that’s in the heavens right now. It’s the get up and go, it’s the focus, it’s the leadership.
“I love working with people like this. When they take the initiative to think ahead and figure things out and take the role of leadership, I’m like: ‘Ooh. I like you, because I have this in my chart.’
“Leadership and strong initiative never take no for an answer.”
On top of the Sun and Moon squaring off in the heavens, the astrologer said another “beautiful” square is taking place – a t-square between the Moon, Jupiter and Neptune.
A t-square occurs when a third heavenly bodies enters a square at a right angle, creating a T-shape in the skies.
In this t-square, the Moon is in Cancer, Jupiter is in Scorpio and Neptune is in the sign of Pisces.
Ms Silverman said this is a perfect t-square to balance the tension caused by the Moon and the Sun.
She said: “Tension is not a bad thing, I want you to write that down. Tension in astrology supports actions and a grand trine in water creates compassion.
“Action with compassion – I’m making this up – creates results and that’s what’s going on in the heavens right now.”
