Meghan Markle, 37, is the newest member of the Royal Family and has already launched her first project.

She joined Grenfell survivors to create a cookbook called Together to help fund their Hubb community kitchen.

The royal was joined by her mother, Doria Ragland, 62, who flew from the US to support her daughter on the day of the launch.

Meghan revealed an unknown travel secret in regards to her mother.

Doria once worked as a travel agent, which could be where Meghan picked up her love of travel.

She revealed it during an interview with Allure back in 2014.

“My mom was a travel agent, so off-the-beaten-path travel has always been a big part of my life,” she said.

Meghan also described her as a “free spirit” with “dreadlocks and a nose ring”.

Her mother has had a number of different jobs; she worked as a make-up artist, where she met Meghan’s father Thomas Markle, as well as a mental health social worker.

Doria is currently a yoga instructor living in Los Angeles, although rumours suggest she could soon move to the UK to join her daughter.

Meghan travelled extensively before she became a Royal Family member, often choosing Europe for her favourite destinations.

Regularly posting on her Instagram, which she shut down shortly before getting engaged to Prince Harry, she boasted a number of stunning destinations.

Italy, Malta and Greece were some of her favourites which she explored with many of her friends in the media industry.

She also travelled further afield to New Zealand and Iceland, along with work trips to Afghanistan and Rwanda.

After meeting Harry, she joined him to Botswana for her 36th birthday, to Jamaica for a friends wedding and to Norway for New Year.

The royal will join her husband for their first overseas tour later this month.

Meghan and Harry will spend 16 days travelling New Zealand, Australia, Fiji and Tonga to coincide with the Invictus Games.

Created by Prince Harry in 2014, the event will take place in Sydney.

Their itinerary is jam-packed with a number of royal appointments and visits taking place along the way.
