The Love Island star won last year’s (17) series of the show with then-boyfriend Kem Cetinay, who she dated until December. She briefly dated James Hawkins – best friend of Olivia Attwood’s ex-boyfriend Bradley Dack – and was reportedly linked to TOWIE star Chris Clark, and just last week (04Oct), Amber was pictured kissing former international swimmer Sid Howes. However, in an appearance on Good Morning Britain on Friday (12Oct), the 22-year-old hinted that the romance is already over.
“It’s so difficult and sometimes I have to remember I am in the public eye, you can’t be doing things like that,” she said when Kate Garraway probed her over the photographs. “If I don’t laugh about it I’d cry. But I’m on a man ban now. They cause too much trouble.”
The reality star is currently gearing up to hit the West End in the cast of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5: The Musical. She is taking on the role of Judy Bernly alongside fellow cast members Louise Redknapp and Brian Conley, having previously trained in musical theatre before she found fame on Love Island.
Her sister, Jade Davies, is already an established West End star, and Amber revealed that she in fact turned down the chance to appear in a famous musical so she could go on the ITV2 hit.
“I turned down a U.K. tour, Hairspray it was. I was gonna be covering the role of Amber, which is funny,” she shared. “But I’ve ridden the wave of reality and it’s been amazing, but I’ve really missed rehearsals and it’s amazing. I’ve been given this opportunity to go back on stage.”
Amber is also set to star in her own ITVBe show, which will follow her journey from reality television to the West End.
9 to Five: The Musical debuts at London’s Savoy Theatre in January (19).
