Tonight viewers tuned in to Gogglebox to see the cast watch this week’s episode of Great British Bake Off, where the remaining bakers were taking part in Vegan Week.
And the show’s choice to include a Vegan Week into the competition had the Gogglebox stars confused and outraged.
Commenting on the change to the series, Stephen Webb and his mum Pat were quick to note the integration of the diet.
“Oh for f**k sake, vegans are getting everywhere. Even on p***ing bake off,” Stephen commented.
And even The Michael family remarked: “Oh that means vegans are really growing in numbers.”
The episode showed baker Ruby Bhogal suffer an extreme mishap with her cake, when it failed to support a second tier, and instead collapsed miserably into a messy heap.
And the Gogglebox family couldn’t help but laugh uncontrollably at her misfortune.
“Oh isn’t it a shame,” Linda McGarry said, whilst Jenny Lee just sat sniggering.
However, viewers watching Gogglebox were unhappy with the cast’s response to the new change to Great British Bake Off.
Many took to Twitter to express their views.
One said: “Gogglebox don’t like vegan week either.”
Another added: “Disappointing seeing these people slagging off vegans as they watch bake off. #Gogglebox.”
“All these people on Gogglebox have done is make endless jokes at the expense of vegans about bake off,” a third remarked.
One viewer wrote: “Oh my god. these people on #Gogglebos are judgmental idiots…about this #gbbo vegan week and their comments.”
A fifth stated: “Don’t think #gbbo will be doing vegan week again.”
The Gogglebox stars also watched the news which showed unidentified artist Banksy prank an auction.
The clip showed a news segment which explained how Banksy had installed a shredder into a piece of his art which was being sold.
As soon as the art work had been bought, the shredder began and the paper in which the drawing was on, was cut up into strips.
Gogglebox airs Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
