The Duchess of Sussex has been plagued by pregnancy rumours in recent weeks, and just one day into her royal tour in Australia the former Suits actress confirmed she is starting a family with her spouse.
Kensington Palace Twitter announced the news. The statement read: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.”
Royal fans are already questioning what the couple will name their baby, and Betfair have shared their predictions for the tiny tot.
The online gambling company predict Harry will honour his late mother and name his first baby Diana.
However, Arthur and Alice are also tipped to be a popular choice for the royal baby.
Katie Baylis, a Betfair Spokesperson, said: “At this stage Diana, Arthur and Alice, which was favourite at different stages for Kate and William’s babies, are the 12/1 front runners.”
Diana, Arthur and Alice have very good odds for Harry and Meghan’s first child at 12/1.
Betfair has also predicted Edward to be a popular moniker for the royal baby, while Elizabeth – The Queen‘s first name – is also in the running.
James is expected to be a potential first name for Meghan and Harry’s baby if they have a son, while another regal name Victoria is at 20/1 if they have a baby girl.
Henry, Oliver and Thomas could also be a name the Duke and Duchess of Sussex give their child if they have a boy, and it is unlikely they will give their son the exact same name as their father as Harry’s odds are very high at 50/1.
While Grace, Mary and Olivia could also be selected for their child’s title.
