Volvo has confirmed the UK price, specs and release date for the all-new V60 Cross Country 2019.
Prices for the new premium estate car start at £38,270 on-the-road.
As standard, the Cross Country comes with an all-wheel-drive system which means the car is more equipped to handle more rugged terrains.
It also comes with 60mm extra ground clearance, Hill Descent Control, and an Off Road Drive Mode setting.
These systems and hardware will allow the car to handle better off-road and negotiate more difficult terrains.
In addition to these features, it also comes with a number of safety provisions including City Safety with automatic emergency braking, Oncoming Collision Mitigation, and Hill Start Assist.
The all-wheel-drive system also comes with an Off-Road Drive Mode setting which changes the responsiveness of the engine, gearbox and accelerator pedal.
Additional features including front and rear parking sensors, automatic LED headlights with Active High Beam, and a powered tailgate.
The car comes finished in a charcoal grey and comes with extended wheel arches, lower sill mouldings, and a rear bumper and Cross Country specific 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the car, Volvo says the car is as recital as the V60 but comes with more luggage space.
The vehicle has a capacity of 529-litres of boot space which is extendable to 1,441 litres with the 60/40 rear seats folded down.
A dual-zone climate control with a CleanZone system also comes with the car which allows different zones to be hotter and colder.
One common feature shared between the car and the standard V60 is Volvo’s Sensus multimedia system controllable through a nine-inch central touchscreen.
Powering the car is a 190hp 2.0-litre D4 diesel engine which produces 400Nm of torque and is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The car has 55.4mpg combined fuel economy and 135g/km of CO2 emissions.
The all-wheel-drive Cross Country also comes with a braked towing capacity of 2,000kg.
Matt Galvin, Volvo Car UK Sales Director, said: “The Cross Country has been an integral part of our estate car line-up since 1997, and this latest version maintains its heritage of giving customers another dimension of driving capability and ruggedness.
“The new V60 has been incredibly well received since its launch earlier this year, and the addition of the new Cross Country version promises to raise its appeal even further.”
Orders for the new V60 Cross Country are being taken now and deliveries to customers are expected during the first quarter of 2019 with prices starting at £38,270.
