Marks and Spencer shoppers have been well and truly spoilt this year with the high street store treating customers to some truly fabulous creations.

From millionaires shortbread cocktails, to prosecco flavoured mincemeat, it seemed like there was no better time to be an M&S shopper.

However, the store’s latest news may leave some of those shoppers devastated, as its been revealed M&S is putting an end to its Dine in for Two deal.

Shoppers used to be able to grab a main dish, side, dessert and bottle of wine for just £10 – although the price recently rose to £12.

Now, despite a price increase, it appears M&S are scrapping the deal altogether.

The store is instead opting to offer discounts on particular items, as opposed to the usual set price deal.

It does mean customers are able to buy items from the meal deal without purchasing the others, but if shoppers did want to include everything, it would actually turn out more expensive.

One user responded to M&S directly on Twitter after doing the maths regarding their latest offer.

“Sorry, it’s a dine in for £16. Not worth going out of my way for,” tweeted one disgruntled customer.

Several other shoppers echoed the same view.

“@marksandspencer first: no dine in for £10, then it goes up to £12, now no set price for dine in?  Who is making these absurd decisions #nodinein #£10 #stupiddecisions #notimpressed,” tweeted a second user.

A third tweeted: “@marksandspencer I love your store, but I am disappointed you have removed your lunch time meal deal, how come? Also there seems to no longer be dine in for 2 for £10? there is some 1/3 off offer? Please bring back dine in for 2. Well done on the wooden cutlery, this is great.”

Whether M&S will continue with the deal as opposed to the Dine in for Two offer is yet to be seen.

One thing is for sure, Friday night dinners won’t be the same again.
