Tyson Fury, 30, has seen his weight fluctuate over the years but he is currently match fit, ready for his fight tonight with Deontay Wilder. Fury has tipped the scales at a whopping 25 stone in the past, slimming down by four stone after following a particular diet. He has spoken out about how he shed the pounds before, appearing on TV to talk about his physique. And there was one particular beverage he used to help him in his quest to lose weight.
While on Good Morning Britain earlier this year, Piers Morgan, 53, asked Tyson how he lost the huge amount of weight.
The sportsman replied: “A lot of black coffee, that’s it.”
He then added: “I basically follow a low carb diet.”
Ricky Hatton, 39, a former professional boxer from Stockport has praised Tyson’s dedication in getting back into shape.
He said: “He has stuck at it. When he first did it, I thought he’d do it for a couple of months and then he’d be back on the p***.
“The only place I’ve seen him is in gyms. I know where he goes and he’s been nowhere near.
“He was good when he was massive. He still had the movements and the sharpness and the speed of hand. But now he’s just looking even better.”
Tyson Fury is not the only sportsman who has lost large amounts of weight in recent years.
The World’s Strongest Man 2017 Eddie Hall revealed via his Instagram page in October that he had lost five stone in a year.
Posting two photos side-by-side as before and after shots, the deadlifter – dubbed The Beast – showcased his noticeably slimmer figure, as well as his significantly more defined abdominal muscles.
Beside the post, Eddie explained how he had slimmed down by five stone, from around 30 stone 12 pounds to 25 stone to 12 pounds, within the year.
“196kg vs 164kg 2017 Vs 2018,” he wrote in view of his 896,000 followers.
“Lots of people asking for comparison photos from my biggest to now, well here it is…”
Shortly after delighting fans with the post, Eddie posted another capture of himself on his Instagram account.
The Staffordshire-based star, who announced he intended to retire from the World’s Strongest Man competitions last year, went on to share his thoughts about losing weight.
Sharing some tips about how to shift the pounds, Eddie insisted that dieters shouldn’t underestimate the importance of having a good breakfast in the morning.
