Bumblebee is ushering in a new era of Transformers movies and fans are here for it. The film currently holds a 98 per cent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, indicating wholly positive reviews. As the sixth instalment in the franchise, some feared Bumblebee would be the final nail in the coffin for Transformers. When is Bumblebee out in cinemas?
Bumblebee is in UK cinemas on Christmas Eve, which this year lands on a Friday, (December 24, 2018).
The prequel is having a limited run this weekend in the UK, however, so if you run to the cinema you may get to see it ahead of time.
Fans in America have three days ahead of the UK, with a December 21 release date.
The last country to see Bumblebee in cinemas is Japan, with a March 22, 2019 release date.
What is the plot of Bumblebee?
The official plot synopsis reads: “On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee the Autobot seeks refuge in a junkyard in a small California beach town.
“Charlie, on the brink of turning 18 years old and trying to find her place in the world, soon discovers the battle-scarred and broken Bumblebee.
“When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns that this is no ordinary yellow Volkswagen.”
