Weight loss is something many people pursue, but staying in shape in the long-term isn’t always easily achieved. Davina McCall however, often updates her 951,000 Instagram followers with the latest snaps of her toned physique. And, as well as revealing her toned abs, the 51-year-old also shares some insight into her fitness regime and diet plan with fans. So, what does she eat, and what does her typical work out involve?
While many people were preparing themselves for Christmas Day, last month, Davina took to Instagram to reveal she was fitting in a workout amid the festivities.
Posing for a snap in Sydney, Australia, the mother-of-three told fans she was about to tackle a fitness DVD.
The work out in question? Her latest fitness programme, Davina: Power Box & Tone.
In the new DVD, the star works with her trainer Sarah, in order to exercise – with the regime focusing on boxing style movements.
Davina has shed some light on what fans can expect, revealing there are “lots of different sections and one long routine if you fancy a challenge”.
There’s also a morning wake up routine which has been choreographed by the TV presenter.
Last year, Davina passed her Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing, and has gone on to train for her Level 3 Personal Trainer Course.
The small screen favourite dedicates time to exercise on a regular basis – working out three to four times each week – for about an hour at a time.
The presenter has also spoken out about her typical diet, revealing she cut sugar out of her diet.
Speaking to The Sun, she explained she tried to stick to water rather than sugar-free fizzy drinks, and ate a protein-rich diet.
For Davina, breakfast could be Eggs Florentine, while she may tuck into light lunches packed with protein and vegetables – such as halloumi salad.
Throughout the day she snacks on foods such as nuts, hummus, vegetable crisps and cooked prawns.
At dinnertime, the TV regular enjoys “smart carbs” – such as sweet potato or wholegrain bread.
Last week, Davina gave a glimpse at exactly what her lunch looked like that day, sharing a snap of it on Instagram.
Her plate featured plenty of greens, as well as tomatoes, slices of avocado, an egg, and seeds.
