Martin Lewis advised ITV viewers tonight on various ways to save money this year. Where many Britons could save a lot of money is on their mobile phone bill. Many are stuck on tarrifs, which are too expensive. How can you score a cheaper deal?
The typical loss for mobile phones over the year can be anything from £150 to £500 per year.
You can get this down to a much cheaper £90 a year at the lowest.
Smarty (Three) offer unlimited minutes and texts with 4GB for £10 a month for a sim only mid usage deal.
Tor a sim only high usage deal you can pay just £20 a month with Vodaphone for unlimited minutes and texts with 20GB for £20 a month.
These deals apply if you have already paid off your mobile phone handset with your provider.
Both these deals are only available online.
Tonight Martin and Angellica Bell give the nation its annual financial check-up, showing viewers the ways to save money on energy costs, broadband packages, mobile phone tariffs and digital TV bills.
Martin Lewis revealed how to save on energy during this year’s live show.
Recently Martin Lewis revealed Britons’ shopping return rights when tking back unwanted gifts.
When it comes to returning a piece of clothing because it’s the wrong size or colour, some shops may be able to refuse you.
The Money Saving Expert explained: “Jaws often drop when I reveal, buy goods in-store and you have no legal right to return them if you change your mind (unless something’s faulty). Many shops do allow returns, but they don’t have to.
“Though if they publish a ‘returns policy’ for example ‘you can exchange within 30 days’ then this is enforceable as it forms part of your purchase contract.”
