The cylindrical UFO was caught on camera shooting over North Carolina and appears to “pulse” in and out of focus. The footage, which has received over 40,000 views on social media, was filmed by 34-year-old father Bret Harrison Jones in his garden whilst he was out to spot birds. But he got more than he bargained for when he caught a glimpse of something he claims is indisputably “otherworldly”.
Mr Jones said: “I was outside capturing video and photos of birds. I spent about an hour outside before deciding to head back in and then I saw a tiny flash in the corner of my eye.
“I happened to notice this random flashing light that just kept flashing that was kind of behind an airplane.
“I decided to try to capture it. I saw it for maybe 10 seconds or so and my camera would not focus on it so I thought I did not capture it at all.
“But, lo and behold, there was a brief flash and if you look carefully you can see this big flash comes into focus and you can see a pill-shaped object.
“I don’t know what that is. It’s got two ends to it and it also looks like it’s got a tether coming off the front of it or it’s ejecting some kind of fluid off it.
“I am not sure whether it is man made or alien. At the time, I strongly suspected the object to be at least the distance of a commercial aircraft.
“After analysing I think this is the case, and also it could be even further away, potentially outside the atmosphere.”
But not everyone is convinced.
Mr Jones confided that his sister in California thought it was a weather balloon.
Other viewed suggested it might be the infamous ‘black triangle’ TR-3B.
But it is not the first paranormal sighting Mr Jones has claimed to stumble across.
He said: “In the past I saw a silvery triangle in the clouds that I was not able to capture. It was small and did not hang around for long.
“I also saw an object at night that looked like a star but started moving slowly while turning slightly, then it curved sharply and got very small until it disappeared like it was moving far away quickly.’
“I’m always looking up – looking for birds, looking for planes, looking for anything I can see in the sky, [such as] critters I can photos or video of.
“I have always believed in UFOs, aliens and other paranormal aspects of reality.”
