PS5 restock weekend news is expected to be thin on the ground, but Argos could be one of the first stores to offer more stock next week.
A new update from several stock tracker accounts suggests that Tuesday or Wednesday will be the day of the next big drop.
Argos is expected to restock the PlayStation 5 early, followed by others, including GAME and Currys. However, there are no new stock drops expected to happen this weekend, either on June 12 or June 13.
According to the PS5 Stock Alert UK Twitter account – a reliable source on PlayStation restocks – the next Argos shipment will be available around June 15.
The latest message from the account explains: “Argos PS5 stock has arrived at warehouses! Distributions have begun today to stores over the UK and will do so over the weekend.
“This time, just like we’ve seen with Smyths Toys, it will be the Ratchet & Clank bundle only. Standalone’s are expected to arrive 21st.
“We expect this bundle to go live on 15th June (1-5am); however, this is not guaranteed until the bundle has been uploaded to the Argos mobile application/website.”
Meanwhile, GAME has been linked to another stock drop during the week of June 14.
Currys is another UK retailer that could offer stock very soon, although this might be sourced for sale in stores, rather than digital.
Other retailers will be offering stock over the coming days and weeks, including ASDA, John Lewis, AO and ShopTo.
These are some of the retailers which could drop more stock this week, while others are planning for further out.
Knowing when a stock drop is about to happen is very important but it’s also worth knowing more about the site you’re going to try and use.
Here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:
AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. More stock is expected before June 10.
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings. Argos is not expected to receive any more stock until later in June.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. GAME is expected to restock the PlayStation 5 in the next seven days.
CURRYS: Currys have not been sharing a lot of stock during May but has been supplying consoles via a new system. This includes signing up for the Currys VIP Pass, which means heading over to the website and using an email address. If you do this, you have a chance of buying a PS5 console from a store, within a 72-hour window.
