Steam Summer Sale warning: Last chance for discounts galore on PC

The Steam Summer Sale is about to come to an end on PC.

Steam customers have only a short time left to take advantage of thousands of discounts on PC.

The Steam Summer Sale has a July 8 end date, and a 6pm BST end time for fans living in the UK.

Based on previous years, the next Steam Sale isn’t until Halloween, so now is the time to make your purchases.

There are thousands of games discounted in the Steam Sale, including titles like the excellent Loop Hero, as well as Sekiro, Battlefield V, Halo Master Chief Collection and Borderlands 3.

Looter shooter Borderlands 3 comes highly recommended, especially now that it costs just £16.49.

The Sims 4 is also reduced in price, costing just £4.19. That’s a saving of 88% based on the £34.99 original asking price.

Elsewhere, Red Dead Redemption 2 is reduced to just £36.84, while Far Cry 5 costs £4.99.

The Resident Evil 3 remake is down to £16.49, as is gory first-person shooter Doom Eternal.

Indie games have also received major discounts, such as Celeste, which costs just £3.74.

“Help Madeline survive her inner demons on her journey to the top of Celeste Mountain, in this super-tight, hand-crafted platformer from the creators of multiplayer classic TowerFall,” reads the official description.

“The controls are simple and accessible – simply jump, air-dash, and climb – but with layers of expressive depth to master, where every death is a lesson.

“Lightning-fast respawns keep you climbing as you uncover the mysteries of the mountain and brave its many perils.”

Another game worth checking out is ION Fury, which is a throwback shooter reminiscent of Duke Nukem 3D.

A highly entertaining shooter, ION Fury is reduced to just £7.79. That’s a saving of 60%.

“While Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison earned her codename defusing bombs for the Global Defense Force, when evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel unleashes the members of his cybernetic cult onto the streets of Neo DC, she knows it’s time to start causing explosions instead of preventing them.

“Her quest to slay Heskel leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner.

“There’s no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning.”
