British bar owner in Spain blasts travel list 'Three weeks off work for week on holiday!'

The Government announced this week that Majorca, Menorca, and Ibiza, will be moved from the travel green list to the amber list from next Monday, July 19. Britons have expressed their fury that they will now have to quarantine for ten days on their return to the UK from these islands, except if they have received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine.

“So they’re not really concerned,” she said.

“There are a few who have only had one vaccine, but I think they were just on holiday mode and saying oh well we’re here now, we’re on holiday, so let’s just enjoy the holiday.”

Laura continued: “But it’s just the youngsters I think, the younger generation – I don’t know what their views are going to be on it

“Whether they’ve had their holiday booked for the summer, or whether they’re going to come out.”

However, Laura went on to say that it is dependent on people’s “work situations at home”.

“How can you go on holiday for a week and then you have to quarantine in your house for two weeks after it?

“It’s just not feasible for people to have three weeks off work.”

Majorca, Menorca, and Ibiza have been placed back on the amber list just two weeks after they were added to the Government’s green list.

Meanwhile, Bulgaria and Hong Kong have been put on the green list, and Indonesia, Myanmar, Sierra Leone, and Cuba have been added to the red list.

These new travel changes apply to all three UK nations of England, Scotland, and Wales.
