Britons are rushing to escape Spain in holiday madness – it’s ‘just stressful’
The Balearics’ move to Amber isn’t a major problem for fully-vaccinated Britons. They will no longer be quarantined upon their return, and they won’t have to go through any further testing.
A holidaymaker who is currently in Ibiza and plans to stay added: “We booked it a few weeks back, when Ibiza became green. But my husband and I have been fully vaccinated, and both of our children are under 12, so the change to amber didn’t make any difference.”
Elle continued, “It is difficult for me to understand how people could travel free last summer without any tests or vaccination program. But this year, we have very limited options.”
Iago Negueruela (Minister of Tourism to the Balearic Islands) stated that the Balearics would “remain open” despite the UK decision.
