Liverpool could benefit from Arsenal’s PS50m Ben White Transfer

Liverpool could reap the benefits of Ben White’s move from Arsenal to Liverpool. After the PS50m agreement, the Brighton and Hove Albion central defense will likely move to north London.

White’s arrival at Arsenal is part of a tried squad overhaul. Manager Mikel Arteta hopes to create a squad that can lift the Gunners to the top of English football.

Arsenal chiefs may be prepared to spend up to PS250million in order to secure their targets.

Arsenal is also said to be interested in midfield options Albert Sambi Lokonga (Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, and James Maddison) and Norwich fullback Max Aarons.

These five players also all under 25 and fit the preferred profile for the club’s transfer targets. They prioritise players who can grow and add value.

Arsenal’s transfer intention could have a knock-on impact across the Premier League with Liverpool being one of the beneficiaries.

Liverpool are looking to sell centre-back Nat Phillips and seek additional funds to fund further transfer activity.

Anfield’s transfer chiefs are optimistic about adding quality to the central midfield after the departure from Gigi Wijnaldum, who went to Paris Saint-Germain. Phillips’s sale could also bring in some funds.

According to TalkSport journalist Alex Crook, White’s departure to Arsenal means that Brighton are looking for a centre-half. The south-coast club are also interested in Phillips and are planning a PS15m move, Alex Crook reports.

It would seem that the move was in the best interests of all involved. Liverpool get cash for White and Brighton bring in White’s replacement. Phillips gets a move that will increase his Premier League playing time.

Phillips has been deemed surplus to needs after Jurgen Klopp’s team agreed to a PS36m deal with RB Leipzig for Ibrahima Konate.

The French defender, aged 22 years old, has been a revelation at Leipzig. His style of play is reminiscent of Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk. __S.16__

Konate’s ex-colleague from Leipzig, Yvon Mogogo, is certain that Konate will be a good defender at Anfield.

He said, “Ibra Konate” was a great defender. He was unable to show his full potential because of injuries he sustained this year.

“He is one of my favorite young defenders and I wish him every success at Liverpool.”

“I am sure he will succeed at that level and show everyone how great he is.”
