Wizkid is No. 3 on this week’s World Digital Song Sales Chart. 1 Tems ascends to the throne, Blackpink returns at the top tier and BTS sees several former champions return to the roster. In all the excitement, a South Korean singer who is wildly popular wins another victory. It’s a very important win for them.
Ateez’s 2021 year has been the most successful, at least if you look at the World Digital Song Sales rankings. With five songs already on the list and only a few months before 2022, it’s likely that this sum will rise.
They began their winning streak in March, when both “Fireworks(I’m the One”)” and “Take Me Home”, debuted simultaneously on the World Digital Song Sales Chart. The former reached No. 6 (their previously-established high point) while the latter title lifted to No. 16
Ateez would score another hit on the World Digital Song Sales Chart in less than a month with “Still Here”, which only managed to reach No. 24th on the 25-spot list.
The No. 1 South Korean boy band “The Real”, brought the group back to its previous position in June. The band is now feeling at home in 6th place. They have seen 4 different songs stall and fall to sixth, with no other tunes rising higher.
Ateez’s fifth place on the World Digital Song Sales Chart is with their song “Dreamers”, which debuts at No. 16.
They beat their own record of the highest number of hits in one calendar year with another win on the World Digital Song Sales Chart in 2021. Ateez reached the top of the World Digital Song Sales Chart in 2019. In that year, they added four tracks to the chart. With four additional appearances in 2020, they repeated their success.Publiated at Wed 21 July 2021 23.37:04 +0000
