PlayStation 5 gamers might have to wait longer in order to get Horizon Forbidden West, one of the most anticipated PS5 exclusives. According to Jeff Grubb (in-the-know journalist), Aloy’s next adventure may be delayed until 2022. VentureBeat’s journalist Jeff Grubb revealed the news in his Giant Bomb Show. However, he cautioned that it is possible for Aloy to delay until 2022.
Grubb claimed also that Sony might be getting ready to host a State of Play September. However, it isn’t clear whether this will be general or Horizon Forbidden West-specific.
Reddit user Reddit posted the rumour. Redditor: “A Redditor shared that Jeff Grubb discussed Horizon: Forbidden West during his Giant Bomb Show. It seems that he has heard that it is being delayed until 2022.
“Also it appears that there will be a State of Play September (though its not clear whether its dedicated to Horizon, or a general State of Play).

Guerrilla’s Ben McCaw stated that development is on track and would deliver an update soon.
According to the narrative director, “We do not have a release date exact yet. But development is progressing and we will have an update very soon.”
Horizon Forbidden West will be released in 2022, if it is delayed.
While it might be frustrating for PlayStation gamers to see some of their top exclusives delayed, Cyberpunk 2077 has proven that it’s better to wait until a game is ready and then use post-release patch to correct issues.
