Olympic Champion Tom Daley revealed that he made a DOG SWEATER during the Tokyo 2020 women’s diving final.
27-year-old diver is still reeling from his first ever Olympic gold medal in men’s 10m synchronised platform. He decided to pull out his woolly hats during the 3m Women’s Springboard Final.
He responded to the viral photo by posting a picture of his creation on Instagram. He made a jumper for @izzythe.frenchie.

British diver Matty Lee won the 10m synchronized platform race on Monday, his first Olympic gold medal.
In honor of this momentous occasion at the games Tom posted to his Instagram account – Made With Love by Tom Daley – to show off the medal pouch. It features the Union Jack and the Japanese flag.
Wow. Responding to the viral photo with a photograph of his creation, he posted on his Instagram Story made With Love by Tom Daley: “For those who are asking me what I’m doing here… He made a jumper for @izzythe.frenchie.
It’s a stress reliever. Tom posted a photo of his knitting and stated that it “relieves him from stress.”

Tom’s mission accomplished. Last week Tom announced that he has knitted an emotional keepake to always remind him about his Tokyo 2020 first gold medal – a customized gold medal pouch
“My love of knitting and crocheting has been the only thing that kept me calm throughout all this time,” he said.
“This allows me to carry my medal around without worrying about it being scratched!”
The caption he used was: “THANK YOU ALL MY FELLOW SITCHERS!”
“Learning how to crochet and knit has been a great help during these Olympics. Yesterday we won gold and I also made a small medal case!
Final: British diver Matty Lee and British athlete Matty Lewington won the 10m synchronized platform race on Monday. It was their first Olympic gold medal (pictured July 26).
Tom previously spoke out about how knitting can have a cathartic impact on his mind during competitions. He said: “When I went to Japan, I actually brought my knitting and I was knitting during the contest because there are 45 minutes between dives so sometimes I would just sit and knit. It took me away from the competition. “I’m obsessed!”
One father joked that the only thing he worries about going to the Olympics was running out of yarn.
He said, “I am thinking about taking on a small project where I will try to create an Olympic-themed jumper so that I can look back 20 years later and say, “I made that at Olympics.” How cool is that?”
After a nervous display by Daley, Matty and Tom beat China just 1.23 points.
Homage to Tom Daley: In honor of the moment he made at the Games, Tom used his Instagram account Made With Love by Tom Daley to show off the medal pouch. It features the Union Jack and the Japanese flag.
Daley was 14 years old when he made his Olympic debut in Beijing. He won bronze in London 2012, Rio 2005 and Beijing 2012.
Daley and Lee weren’t expected to win with China as favourites. However, they didn’t lose out on the top two spots and ended up with 471.81, despite a remarkable forward four-and-a half somersaults sequence when it was all about the last round.
China’s fourth round dive was poor and Team GB took the lead. The ROC won bronze.
It’s almost unbelievable. Matty has dreamt the same thing since she started diving twenty years ago.
He stated that his love of knitting and crocheting has been what kept him sane through this whole process. “This allows me to carry my medal around without worrying about it being scratched!”
“I was sure I would win the Olympic gold medal in Rio, but it turned out that my expectations were completely wrong.”
“My husband told me that my story was not over and Robbie, my son, needed to see me win the Olympic gold medal.
“I’m proud to say that my son saw me win the Olympics, even though it was on television. It is a wonderful feeling.
Lee said, “It was crazy. My entire life was moved to London in October 2018, from Leeds. My family, friends and everyone else were far away. London was my only home. We wanted to win the Olympic medal.
It was possible! After a nervous display, Matty and Tom beat China just 1.23 points.
Nervous: Although the wait for Team GB to beat Team China was agonising, it wasn’t enough.
“To have the opportunity to wrap the much-deserved gold medal around my neck was truly special for me, and I am very proud of him. It’s obviously my goal to become a gold medallist and an Olympic gold medallist. I’m thrilled to have been able to share that dream with him.
Dustin Lance Black, Daley’s spouse, won the Best Original Screenplay Oscar Oscar for Milk 2008; however Daley says he is not sure if his Oscar or medal will be a pride of place in the home.
He stated, “My husband’s Oscar goes into the downstairs loo.” It is often misunderstood as a loobrush. Because people kept picking up the Oscar loobrush, they began to realize that it wasn’t a toy and was actually an Oscar.
He said, “I don’t understand why he does this,” and that he didn’t want it to have more power than it needed. It’s over, he’s moving on to other things.
Moment in History: Tom’s victory and tears at Tokyo Olympics ignited a huge outpouring from his friends and supporters.
Families: Tom and Dustin Lance Black are married. They have a son, Robbie (pictured).
