Heath Slater, a former WWE superstar has spoken out about the experiences he had working alongside Brock Lesnar.
Slater’s catchphrase “I got children” was created by Lesnar during an interview. He famously responded, “I don’t care about your kids.” Slater also attacked the ex-3MB member with two suplexes, a clothesline and an F-5.
Slater stated that Lesnar is often criticized for only caring about him and not the business of wrestling. Slater also stated that Lesnar, who is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, does not get aggressive towards his opponents despite having a fighting background.
Slater stated, “Yeah. I believe he gets an awful rap because of it.” He’s always looking out for him. He has always been that way and will continue to be. He looks after himself, makes sure that he is okay.
But working Brock isn’t what you do. You’re just supposed to land safe and sound. He does take care of his opponents, no! He’s done all the German suplexes that I have attempted, and he has landed me flat. It hurts, but it is one of those things.
Slater spoke recently on The Such Good Shoot Podcast about Lesnar’s segment. Slater revealed that the “I have kids” comment was not scripted. He only made it up because he had forgotten his lines.
