Roy Keane, Manchester United’s legend has asked Harry Kane not to think about a Tottenham move this season. He claimed that the alleged ‘gentleman’s agreement’ he had with Daniel Levy was ‘bizarre. Manchester City is believed to be interested in signing the England captain.
Kane didn’t train this week with Spurs and will be returning to the club Saturday to continue his pre-season preparations.
According to him, he believes he is a gentleman’s agreement with Levy that will allow him to go this summer.
The Spurs Chairman is believed to be determined to keep Kane in the team’s sights through next season, and beyond. Kane will remain under contract for the rest of the 2024 summer.
Keane, when asked about Saturday’s Community Shield match between City and Leicester at Wembley suggested that Kane had been too naive not to trust Levy.
It’s best to ignore it unless it is in writing. “It’s absurd,” said the ex-United man to ITV Sport.
According to Kane’s 2018 contract, there was no release clause. This suggests that Levy has the right to decide whether Kane moves.
Ian Wright, an ex-Arsenal striker and former Arsenal player claimed that Spurs are entitled to their own decisions in the absence of any formal agreements.
Wright said, “I don’t know. Something’s lost in translation.” __S.14__
Grealish made Grealish move seamless, despite the fact that he was unhappy with how things are going. This hasn’t been possible for Tottenham, but there’s no clause. Tottenham are entitled to this. __S.17__
We’re talking here about Harry Kane. “We’ve already seen Grealish sell for PS100m. However, Harry Kane is European-experienced so what does he really make? It will be interesting to see what happens next. “
