Amy began her career in 1995 at WCBD. After four years, she moved on to WTTG in Washington D.C. in 2003. In New York, Amy worked for four more years at WTTG before moving to MSNBC in New York. Later, Amy became co-anchor for Weekend Today.

Amy, her ex-husband Tim McIntosh’s wife, is an affectionate mother to Ava and Annie. Andrew Shue is her stepmom. Wyatt, Wyatt and Nate are his sons.
After meeting at a book club the year before, the couple got engaged and were married on Amy’s 37th Birthday.

Amy and Andrew worked tirelessly to build a strong family unit. They are excited to publish their first book, Better together. This book focuses on connecting people.
Their own early experiences in their marriage inspired the book. They used to tell stories about animals bonding to comfort their children, who were young at the time.
