The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), which provides travel advice for Britons both abroad or planning to travel overseas in the future, has warned natural occurrences such as wildfires may lead to “travel disruption”.
No mass cancellations have been issued by airlines so far. However, holidaymakers who are planning to travel to the country should keep in touch with their airline.
The FCDO advises that you should keep an eye on the latest weather information from either the European Meteorological Services or the Greek Meteorological Service, and to follow any advice given by local authorities. You can also check with your travel agent for updates.
The article continues, “Forest fires can be extremely dangerous and unpredictable.”
