China has banned all children from playing video games for more than 3 hours.

After news about gaming rules emerged, NetEase shares listed in the US fell by 6.7% during morning trading.

CNBC spoke with Daniel Ahmad, Niko Partners’ senior analyst, who said that the new rules would have an impact on more than 110 million children in China.

Ahmad stated that there are more than 110 million children playing video games in China. We expect new restrictions to result in a decrease in players as well as a decrease in time and money for those below 18.
