Arsenal today announces its stance regarding further signings following Takehiro Tomiyasu transfer

Arsenal are set to make Takehiro Tomiyasu their sixth signing of the summer transfer window. After the completion of the original PS17m Tomiyasu deal, the Gunners will have spent approximately PS150million to acquire new players. The Emirates will likely be without the Japan International.

Mikel Arteta has targeted younger players during the summer and, at 22, Tomiyasu is no different.

To give the Gunners a wide range of options, the defender is able to play both at right-back or at centre-back.

Tomiyasu will be having his medical in Italy today ahead of the 11pm deadline.

Arteta will make him the third defense signing this summer.

Nuno Tavares, left-back, was the first to cross the line. Ben White joined the team from Brighton later for PS50m.

Two new midfield players have arrived, Albert Sambi Lokonga (and Martin Odegaard)

Aaron Ramsdale, goalkeeper for the Gunners has joined them as a PS24m starter.

But says there is unlikely to be any other incomings after Tomiyasu.

Arteta stated that she had always believed it and would be taking responsibility for the incident.

“I believe I have been less critical of myself, taking responsibility for every mistake and only when there are defeats.

“I am standing here now and do the exact same thing.”

“I am constantly questioning myself. I need to have the right people to look at all of my decisions and make changes if necessary.
