McGregor and Diaz are in the midst of an ongoing back-and-forth Twitter war, with this only being the latest product of their never-ending rivalry.
Vicente Luque called Nate Diaz multiple times after his victories. However, Diaz previously refused to comment. This was until today when Diaz, a fan favorite, reposted Luque’s interview, captioning it using an emoji of a fist-clenched thumb emoji.
The interview features ‘The Silent Assassin,’ which can be heard saying:
“I would like to take this opportunity to contact Nate Diaz. He has not responded to my calls in the past. Right now, I feel like I have a huge win. My style matches perfectly with my streak. I will keep moving forward. I am going to punch everyone in the face every minute. Nate seems like a great fighter.”
Conor McGregor made a mocking remark that was reminiscent of his famous ‘who is the f***?’ comment. McGregor once made a snide remark about Jeremy Stephens.
“Luque hahahahahahahahahahahaha who?”
Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz 3 or Vicente Luque vs. Nate Diaz 1?
Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz were at the heart of the Twitter row. Conor McGregor posted a picture that suggested it might be time to fight in the trio bout.
Stockton’s native replied by denying Conor McGregor his place and explaining that the ex-two-division UFC champion must heal from the injury to his leg sustained during the fight against Dustin Poirier.
However, UFC fans may see Nate Diaz in the Octagon sooner than expected. Diaz posted a picture to Instagram last week with this caption:
Vicente Luque could be Diaz’s target opponent. The Brazilian has just won Michael Chiesa’s impressive victory, but is currently behind Leon Edwards, Gilbert Burns and Colby Covington in the title race for championship.
He would be more visible and active if he fought Diaz while the fight for the title of welterweight champion plays out.
