Freeman stated that he is not convinced the EU’s new speed limits will reduce collisions when they are implemented in July 2022. Freeman warns that most drivers won’t be able to concentrate and could drive more dangerously.

According to the European Transport Safety Council, speed limits that limit engine power have the potential of increasing safety.

ETSC asserts that Intelligent Speed Assistance Limits (ISA) could decrease collisions by 30% and reduce road deaths by 20%.

Manufacturers are also pushing the technology to ensure drivers don’t get speeding tickets.

The ETSC previously stated that the driver would still have to keep within the posted speed limits, even though the tool is available for override.

Many people enjoy driving. They get in their car, take it to Europe and drive around Scotland, Wales, etc.

Many people consider their car their cowboy stallion. They consider it their vehicle of choice. It is their freedom and their independence.

It’s becoming more restricted and less beneficial for society.

The potential to save accidents is a weak excuse.

If you don’t wish to own a vehicle, take a train or bus. Let’s create a system of public transportation that works for all.

Allow people to drive what they like.
