Arianespace stated that today’s launch was a success. “OneWeb’s mission, according to Arianespace, is to provide internet access to all people through the creation of a new-generation satellite constellation located in low earth orbit.

OneWeb’s constellation with 650 satellites will provide high-speed and low-latency connectivity services for a broad range of customers, including government agencies, enterprises, and maritime clients.

OneWeb’s central purpose is to connect every area that fibre can not reach and bridge the digital gap.

OneWeb plans to start its service in Canada, the UK and Alaska in 2021.
