BT and Virgin Media broadband are now gone, but they will be ending their huge savings deals tomorrow

Virgin Media and BT are gradually rolling out faster broadband speeds in the UK. Millions of households now have access to 1Gbps downloads. The ultimate connection can download full HD blockbusters in less than 40 seconds, which is more than 10 times faster that the UK average.

A 1Gbps internet connection can boost the speed of your boxset binge, but it isn’t cheap. Virgin and BT both charge around PS60 per year to get those lightning fast speeds delivered into your living space.

You don’t have to worry if this seems too expensive for you. There are other options available that offer very fast broadband at a lower cost.

Community Fibre is offering money savings to customers who sign up now for packages. This includes 150Mbps speeds starting at PS20/month and 1Gbps beginning at PS39. You also get free installation, and your monthly price will remain the same for 24 months (something that BT does not promise as there are annual price increases).

Community Fibre supplies only areas within London. The deals end on September 16th.

Community Fibre doesn’t offer the cheapest deals for fast internet. Hyperoptic is also offering lower prices on its fibre plans during a huge Flash Sale. This means that you get 50Mbps downloads at a low price of PS15/month or 1Gbps at a very affordable PS35.

There is no upfront cost and this offer will last for 24 months before the price increases to standard.

Three Mobile is offering the UK’s lowest-ever broadband price as a final offer.

Two plans are available: the 4G Hub plan for PS14/month or the 5G hub for PS22. These services both use Three’s network to beam internet into homes. If you are tempted to sign up for these plans, make sure to check the signal strength before making a commitment.

Three’s 5G broadband can reach speeds of up to ten times faster than fixed-line broadband, but it isn’t available in the entire UK.
