Rennes vs Tottenham: Team news and stats before the Europa Conference League group stage; kickoff at 5.45pm.
News from the team
Tottenhamboss Nuno Espito Santo confirmed that Eric Dier and Heung-min Son have not traveled to France in order to play with Rennes in the Europa Conference League.
Son sustained an injury to his calf while on international duty, and Dier suffered a broken leg during Saturday’s 3-0 loss at Crystal Palace. Ryan Sessegnon and Son were both unable to travel on Wednesday. Steven Bergwijn, however, did after sustaining an ankle injury.
Tottenham will not have their South American trio of Giovanni Lo Celso (Cristin Romero), Davinson Sanchez (Davinson Sanchez), who traveled to their respective countries. They will be disciplined upon their return.
Lo Celso Romero, Sanchez, and Sanchez spent 10 days training in Croatia. They did this on their own, so they could avoid being forced to stay in hotels rented by the Government back home.
Rennesattacker Martin Terrier is unlikely to be present, but Jeremy Doku (hamstring) will also not likely to be out. Lovro Majer, Birger Meling (adductor), and Alfred Gomis (“quarantine”) are all likely to be available.
