Last week’s weekly challenges of three, five and seven wins have been replaced by a win round challenge.
One thing hasn’t changed: the Trials of Osiris kick off simultaneously at 6pm BST on September 17.
The Crucible will remain live through September 21st, when the Weekly Reset will close down the Trials.
Bungie also confirms that a seven-win challenge is available starting at Saint-14. This will allow Adept Flawless to get loot.
Guardians should also note that Reputation per match is now scaled according to the number of rounds won on tickets. Trials passages have been account scoped. This means that even if the ticket was purchased on the same character as the original, it will not reset your ticket wins.
These are some examples of the loot and rewards packages that were available last week.
- Reputation Rank 4: Upgrade Module
- 7. Reputation Rank: Enhancement Pirism
- Reputation Rank 10, Eye of Sol Legendary Spy Rifle
- Reputation Rank 13: Upgrade Module
- Reputation Rank 16 – Igneous Hammer Hand Cannon
- Flawless reward: Shayura’s Wrath Adept SMG
Bungie has made further improvements this week, with Trials Reputation now unlocking Trials Engrams via Saint-14 during a Season.
Bungie wants to improve the matchmaking process in the final stages of this event.
According to the Destiny 2 Development Team, the latest update states that “we aren’t satisfied with matchmaking experiences for players after seven victories.” This area of matchmaking is experiencing a much higher number of 5-0 matches than we would prefer, so we’re allowing a “flawless” pool.
We want to ensure that we have enough matchmaking players who are flawless. Therefore, we wait until Friday to switch this on. This weekend, we will monitor player reactions and analyze matchmaking data all weekend to verify it’s working properly.
We are not pleased with players who are on a losing streak and get repeatedly defeated 5-0. Therefore, we will allow matchmaking assistance for those that run into multiple blowout matches.
“This temporary mechanic will clear up when they start winning again. Don’t expect someone to cheese a flawless weekend by tanking for several games, then having a week of seamless sailing.
We are also enabling quitter penalties on Glory playlists. This means that you will get a 30 minute timeout for quitting too many games. This will be monitored and we have harsher consequences for players who abandon fireteams.
Bungie also confirms that the round times have been reduced to 90 seconds. Each round starts with new special ammunition.
To participate in Trials of Osiris you must enable Cross Play. This requires that the current annual expansion be purchased.
