Report warns that tourist favorites could be removed from the travel red book if PCR tests are scrapped


We are aware of speculation that Turkey and the Maldives may be removed from the red-list and reintroduced to the British holiday options. It would be an enormous relief to have both destinations, which are extremely popular and offer the ideal option for late-summer sun span>


Paul Melinis (Managing Director at APT, a river cruise and tour specialist, spoke to Express.co.uk. He said that “looking at the case rates for the past week, it seems likely that some popular Mediterranean destinations for Brits such as Portugal and Greece will continue to be on the amber listing.”


Many tourists are forced to take expensive PCR tests because of the traffic light system.
