Rivian is preparing for its official debut of the first EVs with R1T trucks on the production line in Normal, Illinois. The automaker launched a membership programme on Thursday. This will allow Rivian owners to access complimentary charging through its soon-to be-built Adventure Network or Waypoints chargers.
The company also promised to match the miles Rivian Membership members drive using energy from renewable sources such as solar and wind, and to provide unlimited access to 4G-LTE connectivity.
Rivian Off-Roadside Assistance is also included in the service. This additional coverage will allow the company to send a vehicle out to you for help if you are stuck on the road or require a battery charge. In the future, additional benefits will be offered by Rivian, such as new driving modes, community meetings, and content in cabins. Every new Rivian car will include 12 months free access to the service. To continue to enjoy the benefits of your membership, you will need to pay. We reached out to the company for further information.
