Citroen and subscription service Onto have entered into a partnership. The new eC4 with ‘Shine Plus specification will be available to subscribers on this all-in-one platform. Onto will have 300 eC4s. In October, the first vehicles will become available.
Onto was founded in 2017 to increase the number of electric vehicle owners, and offer an alternative to car ownership. The current active subscriber base is more than 3000 and will soon have access to the Citroen E-C4. Customers will be able to get the eC4 monthly with insurance and 1000 miles free of charge at more than 11,000 points. They also receive maintenance, service, and support.
The eC4 is powered by a 50kWh lithium battery pack and an electric motor that produces 134bhp. This electric drivetrain can reach up to 217 miles (WLTP). It also supports CCS rapid charging. All models come standard with this feature.
Onto subscribers can have the top-spec e-C4 Shine+ with Citroen’s Advance Comfort Programme. This includes innovative Advanced Comfort Suspension and high-density foam seating. The e-C4s come with LED headlights and premium HiFi systems, as well as heated seats, steering wheel and heated leather.
Shine Plus also includes Highway Driver Assist. This suite of driver aids includes advanced Active Safety Brake, Radar, Speed Limit Information, Extended Traffic Sign Recognition and Extended Traffic Sign Recognition. Adaptive Cruise Controller and Active Blind Spot Detection are all included.
