Jane Powell, an actress best known for her roles in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Royal Wedding, has passed away. She was 92.
Susan Granger, a family friend and spokesperson, revealed to Deadline that actress died at Wilton, Connecticut, home she shares with Dick Moore (an actor and publicist) who also passed away in 2015.
Natural causes have been identified as the cause of death.
After dancing with Fred Astaire 1951’s Royal Wedding and before being cast in 1954 as one of the seven brides to seven brothers, she rose in fame.
She was a familiar face on the stage, appearing in many hit shows such as Oklahoma!, The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, and Carousel.
