Kevin Clifton (38), admitted that Strictly Come Dancing does not have an intimacy coordinator. He made the admission as he spoke about Strictly Come Dancing’s injury prevention specialist, on his podcast entitled “Broadcast Talent Contest”. Clifton also admitted that the BBC could use someone to make sure all celebrities performing intimate routines feel at ease.
He referred to musical comedy Rock of Ages in which he played Stacee Jaxx and said that the show had an intimacy coordinator who would assist with specific scenes.
He giggled, “It’s quite the raunchy show. It’s a little edgy.”
“So, we worked for the first-time with an intimacy coordinator.”
He continued to detail what she did, and how it helped actors.

It’s hard to imagine how people feel when they enter it.
Kevin said that he had asked Rock of Ages’ coordinator to join his podcast and to talk about the work she does. He was eager for people to learn more about her job.

He shrugged, “I feel like I’m kind of going to be team Dan [Walker] right from the beginning.”
