Naomi Campbell was honoured to take on a special role during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Although the monarch serves as the patron of the organization, he didn’t participate in the selection process for Campbell.

Before their resignations last year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle served as QCT’s President & Vice President.

Ms. Campbell (51), was chosen because of her 20-year-old experience in charitable work, particularly in developing countries.

She will be the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust’s first ever global ambassador. Her role is to connect young innovators aged 18-35 across the Commonwealth with funding, opportunities and training.

Campbell stated, “It’s my honor to accept this position as global ambassador For The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.”

No matter where you come from, or what your current situation is, young leaders in your local community are doing incredible work.

Campbell is joined by the charity to launch the QCT Platinum Jubilee Fund for Young Leaders. This fund was established in support of the service they provide for others across the Commonwealth. It also marks Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee Year.

Campbell stated, “I am of Jamaican descent and therefore I grew up hearing all about the Commonwealth. I never imagined I’d be able to help with any aspect of it. But I do know how proud my grandmother was and what my great aunts and uncles felt of being part the Commonwealth.”

Her mother, Lady Diana, also orchestrated the hilarious prank on a teenager Prince William.

She was also invited to the meeting of William, along with Christy Turlington and Claudia Schiffer in 1990s fashion.

The Duke of Cambridge recalled the moment from the 2017 HBO documentary, Diana, Our Mother, Her Life and Legacy. He admitted that he was “bright red” after he first saw the supermodels.

“I believe I almost fell down the staircase on my way up. “I was totally and utterly kind of stunned,” William recalls in this clip. He had Campbell’s poster up on his wall.
