The Duke and Duchess of Cambrdidge visited Derry-Londonderry on Wednesday on their official tour of Northern Ireland. While at the city, local students attempted to teach the royals local expressions to little success.
When trying to teach the Prince phrases, he helped himself to a half-pint of Guinness.
“I’ve had a whiskey, now I’ve had a Guinness,” he joked.
“I’m just ignoring the time.”
During the royal couple’s visit, they met young people and learned about how organisations engage across communities in the area to promote positive relations.

“I’m going to have another drink, I’m not doing very well at this,” joked the royal.
The students attempted to teach the royals phrases including “Give us a juke at that”, “Let’s head out for a wee dander”, and “This is pure wick, so it is”.
The official visit to Northern Ireland follows the Duke and Duchess’ appearance at the long-awaited premiere of the latest James Bond film on Tuesday night.
The royal couple arrived at the Royal Albert Hall in London to watch the much anticipated 25th Bond film, No Time to Die.
The film was delayed over a year due to the Covid pandemic and will finally be released in UK cinemas on Thursday.
