Royal author Penny Junor said the Duchess of Cambridge has “got better and better” more than a decade on from joining the Royal Family. Ms Junor highlighted how Kate is “doing her own thing” but “not in competition” with her husband, who is second in line to the throne.

Asked how Kate is growing into her future Queen Conosrt role as she turns 40, Ms Junor told “Amazingly so.

“She has just got better and better as the years have gone by.

“She’s got more confident, she’s poised, she’s elegant, she’s just doing the most amazing job.

“She’s doing her own thing but she’s not in competition with William at all.
