He gave Fulham the lead against the reigning Premier League champions inside four minutes after tapping in from Harry Wilson’s cross.
Speaking earlier this week, Fulham boss Marco Silva opened up on Carvalho’s future at the club.
“The day after, I saw him with the same smile on his face like always,” Silva said.
“He came into the session to enjoy and to work hard and that is the most important thing for him.”
He added: “Fabio will be with us until the end of the season,” Silva said.
“I said [this] last week and 15 days ago, and in that moment I was 100% sure because it was something we could control.”
