HISTORY SOCIETY: The Allegheny Regional Family History Society will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. today in the IOOF lodge located a on the Beverly Five-lane. Anyone interested in genealogy is encouraged to attend and become a member of ARFHS. REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY: The Elkins-Randolph County Regional Airport Authority will host its regular monthly meeting at 5 p.m. today at the airport terminal building.

HOMESTEAD BUCKWHEAT AND PANCAKE BREAKFASTS: Two spring buckwheat and pancake breakfasts are scheduled for Saturday and April 9 from 7 a.m.-noon at the Homestead Community and Event Center in Dailey. The menu includes all you can eat sourdough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee, juice and milk. The events are hosted by Home of the Soul Family Worship in partnership with the Tygart Valley Homestead Association. Dine in or carry out.
BUCKWHEAT AND PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The Randolph County IOOF Lodge will host a sourdough buckwheat feed at the lodge hall on the Beverly Five Lane from 7 a.m. to noon March 19. The menu will include sourdough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, coffee, milk and orange juice. Carry outs will be available.
CELEBRATION: American Legion Post 29 will be hosting its 103rd Birthday Dinner on Saturday, March 19, 2022. A social hour will begin at 6 p.m. and the program/dinner will start at 7p.m. They will be serving a lasagna dinner. ELKINS ENTREPRENEURS EXPO: The Elkins Entrepreneurs Expo will be 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 24 at the Phil Gainer Community Center. Admission is free. Whether starting, expanding or retooling a business – participate in one-on-one sessions, booths, storyboards, networking and 24 workshops/roundtables.
RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL: The March meeting of the Randolph County Association of Retired School Personnel will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, at the Steer Steakhouse. Fundraiser Tickets for a Bob Huggins Basketball to benefit scholarships are available from Donna Auvil and the drawing will be held at the April meeting.
BREAKFAST: VFW Post 5781 and Auxiliary will host a buckwheat breakfast 8 a.m. to noon March 26 at the post home in Harman. Buckwheat/regular pancakes, sausage, sausage gravy, fried potatoes, eggs and drinks will be provided and carryout will be available.
FREE PRUNING AND GRAFTING WORKSHOP: will be Saturday, March 26, at 2 p.m. in the heirloom apple orchard area of the Gov. Kump House. The workshop will be led by David Proudfoot and is sponsored by the Elkins Tree Board and Elkins Friends of Trees. The Kump House is located at 401 Randolph Ave., Elkins across from Kroger’s.
